I have searched the internet many times hoping someone had the knowledge on how to replace the battery inside a microtrack. The best I got was send the unit back to m-audio and pay a third of what I paid for the whole unit for the factory to replace the battery. Being the inquisitive type (and not wanting to shell out my hard earned cash) I set about having a go myself.
so I'm now going to tell you about it too...
Firstly, this information is given on the understanding that I have no affiliation with m-audio and that any modifications or disassembly of your unit may invalid any warranty. Furthermore, no responsibility is taken for any damage to any hardware, software or data as a result of the information I provide. however, I can say that this worked for me!
